In need of an update

Afternoon guys,

my box has recently started acting its self and won’t allow me to open my apps. I believe an update is in order, however I can’t find and update.

can anyone please advise me how to update my box.

model NEO X8H-PLUS
version 4.4.2

I did indeed. I downloaded the file and when I go into es file it doesn’t do anything.

am presuming I’m doing something wrong.
 
I have unzipped the file and have I. My file browser the following:

Usb burning tool_v2.0.9.exe
X8-H_Plus-Andriod_5.1-20170612_tool.img

doesn’t matter what I use to try and open this is doesn’t work.

Well, just install and launch Usb burning tool_v2.0.9.exe then connect your X8H-plus to USB then flash the firmware.
You need a PC to flash the file.
 
Usb burning tool_v2.0.9.exe is a windows application. You can't install it ?
Is your download OK ?
 
Use your laptop to flash the firmware !
Copy Usb burning tool_v2.0.9.exe to your Laptop, install it, connect the X8H-plus to your Laptop USB then flash the file ;)
 
i have a usb memory stick, i have downloaded the burner to my laptop along with the update file. can i save it to my stick and put that into my box ?

You need windows for usb burning tool.
If you have a mac try with a virtual machine and install windows on your Mac.
Or ask a friend who have a windows PC.
I did not try use usb burning tool with windows PE but it works on windows 10 and windows 7.
 
i have a windows laptop which i have just used the links about to download. i have installed the burner but cant open the update file.

i dont have a usb to usb cable to link my box to the pc, would a usb memory stick work
