Thé officiel version on u22xj is Android ,not Android tv....if you want minix with Android tv ->minix t5, there Is no support for not original os on minix boxes ,
You Can change the launcher for have something similary to android TV ,try ATV launcher

To get Android TV for this device you need a custom firmware and we can't provide one due to Google agreements.

Do you drop actual hard currency in the trash too just because they haven't updated the banknote design to your timetables?
Define "official interface"? (The MINIX Metro launcher or Launcher3 interfaces/homescreens?)
A simple app installation such as Nova launcher or installing a live wallpaper could have easily given you a wider range of customisation options too!!!
If you never liked the "pure Android" interface in general, WTH did you buy a pure Android device to begin with?
One hopes you "figuratively" trashed your U22 rather than "literally" as updates are still being refined & the known bugs/glitches worked out.
Otherwise, if you're quite happy to consistently throw money away on a regular basis there are plenty of charities out there who could certainly benefit far more than your local landfill ever would.
