Internet Speeds

Hi,
I have a problem with Buffering in IPTV using Minix Neo x8-h, especially on HD channels. I started testing the internet speeds and talking to ISP regarding this, but noticed that my box does not show the full download speeds. For ex, tests on some servers on PC can have 60Mb/s where on the box the same test shows 23Mb/s. Same results on both WiFi and Ethernet connection, which is less than half compared to PC. Using VPN does not change the speed results. Box is on separate WiFi, than any other device at home. Ethernet is via power adapters on both PC and Box. Any idea how I can increase the download speed on the box?

I'd recommend resetting it as a first step to fix any issues it may have, then try not using a powerline adapter as they can be inconsistent, I ran a couple of speedtests on mine earlier both on WiFi and over ethernet, you can see the results for yourself, the bottleneck was not my connection at all, it was the hardware of the box. About speed testing I really recommend not getting too nervous about it.

I have experienced that there are many factors we can't control, such as the load of the nearest server, which will have a big impact in the app result. I rather use a server in a different country than mine to test my networks, and this is located 3 times the ping and many times the distance than the closest server, and I get the double of the speed velocity in the test, on both my networks, 2.8Ghz - where several equipments still connect and 5 Ghz, for the Minix boxes and faster equipments.

If your 1080p youtube videos are streaming well over your wifi you are probably good no matter what the test tells you, if you cant get to stream 4k over your fast ethernet, than you should probably improve something, I'd say these is the best speed test to try. Along the years I realised speed test apps are a major cause of disappointment many times for no reason at all.
