Is it worth upgrading to 7 for u9h? Kodi keeps bombing out halfway though a movie on "stable 6"

Please help. Kodi just exits the movie halfway through and then i have to go all the way back to file origin to open it again, only to repeat the same process..... Please help

Unless you really need nougat (CE ROM), stay with Marshmallow (android 6).

To solve your problem try this :
Fresh kodi installation

But give us more details:
Example:
-if it happens with all the files you have or just some
-streaming from external hdd or NAS
-Are you using database libray ?
-What kodi build are you using?
Etc...

kodi 18.9 is the recommended build you should install.

Online or locally sourced files as well?

Are you using certain add-ons or a build with Kodi? It's obviously not normal behaviour to return all the way back to the home screen if media suddenly stops, (usually it just drops back one level to the file/library view).
