Is this true

Hey guys I'm using an IPTV app but when I enter full screen mode it doesn't fill the whole screen so I contacted the developer of the app and sent him a screenshot of what's happening and he said this

That's your device settings, it's usually in display settings called "calibrate display" or something like that

Here's a picture of what my screen looks like you can still see the EPG list at the bottom and a black border on either side

Is what the developer saying true and if so how do I fix it I don't see a calibrate display in the settings anywhere and it doesn't happen on other apps so I'm not sure if he's BS-ing me or notPhoto on 2022-03-17 at 4.18 PM.jpg

I'm aware of that setting but the problem is that the rest of my app's are work properly so if I change that setting for one particular app then I'm going to have to go back-and-forth for every app so what I was more looking for is to see if there's a setting that can automatically adjust the screen if it needs to be adjusted plus what I would want to do is zoom in but when you're at 100% that's it and I'm already there

In fairness you have answered your own question, if all other apps are working fine then the developer is talking porkies. The settings above are what he refers to as Calibrate Display so I would go back to him stating the same here that all other apps fit fine, its just his app that overscans.

Any particular reason you want to stick with that IPTV app? There are loads of good ones out there.

I'm not stuck with it I already have tivimate installed I was just wondering why this particular app was doing what it was doing and if there was a way I can fix it I didn't think there was but I don't know everything so I decided to ask and see if there was a solution that's all
