i would think that you probably need to change settings maybe in the bios and /or windows power options

That is strange (and not normal)
Never happened to me.
Try this:
enter BIOS (del key) and put it with default settings:
Maybe you some problem with your electric network.
Have you tested other equipments? to see if there was a failure too?
Check also your BIOS version (this is the latest)

Note:
You can set the device:
Restore on ac power loss (but this is for the device power on automaticaly after a power loss).

I have set my device: (auto)
Go to sleep after 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes it goes to sleep, if no activity (and never shutdown).
I can wake again the device (from sleep) with keyboard or mouse.
If i have wake on lan enable i can wake the device remotely (from sleep and from shutdown)
If i put the device to sleep: (manual)
The device goes to sleep and only if i use the keyboard or mouse (or WOL) the device wake again from sleep mode.
So, again i don't understand why your device was doing that.
Note:
I Tested in ALL my windows devices, MINIX included.
Other note:
Of course you can put the device in advanced power options (high performance), but then you must choose what high performance plan will do...

It might at least allow you to return to a balance of still allowing your device to sleep if it's idling for extended periods but hopefully you'll actually be able to wake it back up again with your keyboard/mouse
.Double check your settings match this guide & hadn't been altered somehow. (As Rui has pointed out, ordinarily your J50C-4 should simply wake from sleep from peripheral input but sometimes these settings can get inadvertently changed either by the user or sometimes an app/program can override certain settings causing undesirable side effects too.)
Might also be a good idea to carry out a full malware/virus scan if you haven't already!!?? (There are plenty of free tools available if you'd rather not pay for a premium service/subscription.)

I Know, its strange to me too ( i already had a full virus scan with the avg premium ). I just want to make it clear that after few hours of sleep it shuts down completely (no leds on)
Now it works ok but as you said i have lost the ability to automaticaly sleep (only manually) my minix if its going to be unused for extended periods. But the solution to never permit to get to sleep i found to another forum (not minix) so at is seems its a known issue for windows10

Test the device more.
My advice:
-Run a "stress" test to see if everything is working well
-keep your OS up to date (latest windows version is 20H2)
-check your BIOS version and use default BIOS settings
-keep your system "clean" with the basic software installed (only what you need)
-don't use untrusted websites/programs
-check for virus/malware (again) as recommended by @ArcticWolf
If the problem persists:
-format windows (be aware of data lost, do a backup first) and install the OS again
-test the device with all above procedures
-i strongly advice you test your hardware components (cpu test, PSU, etc) and if no luck contact your seller.
