J50C-4 no longer boots on 12v

I was testing out my J50C-4 with a 12v lithium battery to see how long it could power the PC. After the battery inevitably died, I can no longer power up the PC from any 12v source. It still powers on fine with the supplied AC adapter. When I plug in the AC adapter, the LED blinks red (4 times?) and can then be powered on. When I plug in a 12v source, the LED doesn't light up at all.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
 
OK strange, I charged the battery I had the Minix running on and plugged it back in, and it boots up fine. Still won't boot up off the AC-powered 12v power supply. Guess this isn't an issue with the Minix...
 
We only guarantee performance when using the included power supply and connected to mains power.
We strongly advise against using a battery to power MINIX NEO J50C-4.
