J50c-4 plus not detecting the 2nd monitor

I just brought a J50C-4 Plus and is trying to set up dual monitors. At first, I use a USB-C to HDMI splitter to connect both monitors under a faulty assumption that the system can detect both monitors and make them 1 & 2 but it only displays 2 mirror screens.

So, I plug 1 of the HDMI cable directly to the HDMI port and left the other HDMI cable as is HDMI cable to USB-C via the HDMI splitter, but the system can only display via the HDMI port.

I then try to connect the 2nd monitor with a mini-dp to HDMI cable but it still no detecting the 2nd monitor.

I tried switching around the monitors and updated all the drivers. Nothing work. Both monitors, HDMI cables as well as the Mini-DP to HDMI cable are brand new.

Can anyone help point out where the problem can be?

Hello !

the same here with my new brand J50C-4 Plus
With HDMI, this is working well
Then, I add a miniDisplayPort-to-HDMi to the TV, J50c-4 plus does not detect the 2nd monitor

Heu ? Can anyone help ?

Active or passive?

Active or passive?
Not exactly sure what you are referring to, for my case both monitors are BenQ GL2780, HDMI cables are the ones that came with the PC & monitors.

As for the mini-dp to HDMI cable, I bought it from Amazon.

Furthermore, the whole setup is for office use (i.e. emails, ERP operation, word processing etc.), so whether the HDMI cable is active or passive should not be a factor, right?

Hi, thanks for your reply !
I've used a cable that I already had, should be a passive
I ordered an active one and I'll try with this one
But it obviously seems this is it...
keep you posted

I will try too.
I have an adapter on it's way to me. :)

I used an HDMI to mini cable and it didn't work. I then ordered an Active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI Adaptor from Amazon, but it's still not working. When I go into settings, the computer can't find the second display.

On the Intel Graphics panel it states no second monitor found is that correct? Have you checked the Intel website to check the software?
