I have installed Kodi 18.5 and on an addon don't work when you mark a chapter as watched. On XMBC it's work fine. ¿Can I make someting to solve in 18.5? If I make same with a local list of videos it works. Only wrong in the addon.

Thanks

This is really more an issue with Kodi and/or the specific add-on you're using failing to mark episodes as watched rather than the Neo U1 itself!!

If the add-on you're using is legal, have you tried asking for advice on the Kodi forums regarding this issue?

I dont have much to add to what has been said.

However please make sure you always close your kodi session properly, as switching down the box without previously closing kodi won't alow the databases to write and close in full, causing data loss. This is more noticeable in streaming since a crowded server can have some delay in sending the info to your kodi, and some content can still be active while you think it is done. It also happens that we sometimes have to close kodi in the box Settings Applications, when for some reason kodi hangs. That is a main cause of losing the kind of data you mention. That cute function has never been a fail safe item, especialy with some popular addons.

Try clearing the addon cache in its settings. That should help.

Thanks to all! Yes, I think the problem is de addon. I had Kodi 16 and works fine marked as watched. But I have installed 18.5 and not worked the first time. I'm talking with the addon's editor. Thanks again!

Kodi 18 itself has a lot of differences to previous versions, even 17.6. They've completely revamped a lot of code which means many add-ons supported in previous versions are no longer supported in Kodi 18.

Glad you've got access to the add-on's devs, they'll be far better equipped to answer your questions than we will :).

Hi
I don't use Kodi but the stock XBMC. My watched episodes used to be "marked as watched" sometime ago but suddenly it has stopped. I don't remember having touched any settings or add-on. Can you help me share your add on details / settings wherein this feature can get enabled? Thanks

Typically, this is caused by an error/corruption within Kodi or XBMC, or the relevant database files, not the device itself!

You could either try the Kodi forums for advice or simply wipe the cache & data for the XBMC for MINIX app to start fresh. (Just remember, this will wipe out all of your existing settings & watched status or resume points.)

How do I do that?
