limited wifi speed

Hi,
regarding antenna I have attached it as soon as turned on wifi.
I haven't antivirus installed on my PCs, only windows defender.
just completed provider speed test that give more or less same results
smartphone - 300mbit
laptop - 450 mbit
minix - 60 mbit
I guess that this is something related to wifi driver or wifi adapter parameter but don't worry for now
i am using it with limited wifi band, if a solution should ever come out well otherwise i'll keep it as is.
Only for my curiosity, someone has the same minix model? if yes have you tested maximum speed reachable with wifi?
thanks
Hi Renato,

I have the same model as you (since release), and have always had bad WIFI speeds. There was a long thread about this on the old forums, but unfortunately that was all lost. To my knowledge a viable solution was never discovered; the best option offered was to use a 3rd-party WIFI booster adapter. I tried this with an AC600 dongle, and the speeds were better but never great.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for your feedback.
I have this model since release too and What you wrote is what I am thinking in these days. All units come out already with wifi bugged. Yesterday i have tried the third unit that was replaced by minix for z64. Same result.

One thing you haven't mentioned....

...Are you running the official MINIX 1803 or 1809 Win 10 images? Or, were you running 1803 for example & you allowed it to update to 1809 via Win update?

Have you updated the BIOS as well?

Have you also read this thread? ---> https://theminixforum.com/index.php?threads/neo-z83-4-manually-install-the-driver.31/

Yes i have mentioned that i tried even to use 1809 win Image from the forum. Previously i had always 1809 version but upgraded from 1803. Bios is 1.8. No i haven't read that thread, i am going to read it now. Thanks
