This PC can do much more than you think. I converted Z64 A to W Bios. Then Windows installed. 32 bit. I've had it for 6 years. All linux Distros I run via USB card reader. I use Grub 2 Win for booting. Ubuntu. Mate, Android x86, Linux Mint. everything is running linux distros can install as 64 bit, also recognizes Grub2Win. PC has 64 bit processor. Good SD card is 64 GB, UHS I. Everything runs reliably. You can also adjust virtual memory in Windows, Custom. Take the final value of the actual as the initial size and double this as the final value. Runs pretty fast and you can convert movies well. You also have Android and not just this OS.

The Parms Grub2Win for booting was with me for Android-x86,

up to 6.0.1 marshmallow,

androidboot.hardware = android_x86, or x86_64 src = / .. your folder partition ...... (android-6.0-r2)

Android 7.1 Nougat or higher

androidboot.selinux = permissive src = / android-7.1-r2

If you connect a USB stick or USB SDCard reader it is always (hd 0, gpt ... ) (- your partition)

still let it go. It changes more often. When you open the image you can partially read it into the boot folder in the img with normal text editor. This is for information only, if you are using an older version you have to adjust it

Linux 64 bit works quite well on z64 W.
Recommend to create swap, works even better, double the real working memory with swap partition .....

Also watch Z 64 W.

Thx SMorphin, I'm trying several Android OS, but only vi usb. Till now i did not change to W Bios, because have some doubts about it. Till now haven't found the OS that runs smooth in my Z64A. Have you some sugestion?

I have converted bios to w. Created a Win 10 x86 GPT, Fat32 stick with Rufus. This started manually. Blk: ..., Bootia32.efi Then install. Driver w installed, Make updates. Then grub2win installed, Bootorder first. Take a look at the next page. It's been a few years since I did this. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t-Pf8MbWt33XP7iGH12xqvoQPb0dNUsII_e_K033XDo/mobilebasic Remember I did it that way. I am not responsible for mistakes, this worked for me. Have a look at OS selection in Grub2Win what you can install is not that difficult, Android x86 load the kernel, PhoenixOS too, create a folder, example Android-6.0-r3, the r stands for stable release, others are still in test, unzip your iso Android-x86 into the folder on stick and load under os android, on the right the kernel path stick, this can also be done with ssd. Take a look at it if it is too difficult. get in touch then we'll try it together, ok? So I just did everything and everything works for me. If you should convert the bios, follow the exact instructions. If you do something wrong, the device can break. Good advice, in any case, do not interrupt the power and do not press any button until the bios flash is ready.

I have Ubuntu-Mate, Ubuntu, Linux Mint on a USB SD card GPT, by the way Android-x86, Phoenix OS. on a USB 64GB MicroSD card UHS I I deleted the Grub2 bootloader in Windows. Use Explorer ++ as Armin and the command Prompt.Armin mountvol X: / s Open Explorer ++, X: Admin, then you can remove Grub 2 and use Grub2Win

Grub2Win is clearer and easier to set up.

Grub2Win starts over Windows installed, despite 32bit also 64bit systems It's a 64bit processor. Only the Windows Bios is 32bit

I just want to say that since I converted to W Bios, I have a lot more options and enjoyment with this PC. It serves as an indicator.

For me, converting to W gave me a lot more options. I also tested this. You can also reset the bios to A, but believe me, if you see the possibilities of W conversion, I don't think about it anymore. I'll put something in here. Let it all go through and then decide what is right for you.

If something doesn't work then you have an older release, you have to try it. So far I have come to terms with the W conversion very well and do not want to go back to A.

Virtual Box in Windows 32bit software. Start virtual hard drives OS in Windows itself.
You can start Linux or other distros yourself in Windows. Not that difficult at all. If you have Linux you can work with Qemu or other VMs. There are also VMs for arm processors Qemu with Virt Manager because you can even create and run Win PE your own Win 10.
I have it running on my Raspberry 4B 4GB and other 40 OperatingSystems.
This is an automation PC, but with a lot of optional accessories and lots of connections
on the board.
I've always sworn by Minnix for many years, only I wasn't given any spare parts for one or where I can get them, then I had to buy the x6, really pissed off. Now I'm trying to really get something out of the part. The quality is really very good, but I think the rest is very bad. I was really mad.

I do not know.
The instructions for installing linux on z64w?
Do you still need it if you just install the image and boot with Grub2Win, write the boot, or better still mount the image in Windows with Paragon Linux File Manager and after EFI / Boot / boot. cfg
Simply copy the boot path and paste it into Grub2win as a custom boot? You can read out the UUID in Grub2Win?
Only specify the disk hd and gpt partition number? hd0, gpt2

Just copy the complete linux and initrd path into the custom boot path Edit set it under hd0 and partition ... gpt ... from grub2win.
But it is also possible to boot into grub2win with a partition. but made mistakes with me.
That's how everything worked for me.
