Hi,
i want to try linuxium on my neo x7 but the link is too old and it was deleted.

Someone have already the image to put on SDCARD and test it?

Thanks

Hi,

I found this https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock/SD_images
And on https://wiki.radxa.com/Rock/prebuilt_images

I tried several versions and I successfully boot in version:
Ubuntu 14.04 desktopubuntu_14.04_desktop_fhd_140823_nand.zip

I don't have SD card, so I flash downloaded image with RKFlashTool and it works but it seems that the video drivers are not the best.

Mali GPU hardware acceleration from this link https://www.cnx-software.com/2014/0...ry-linux-on-popular-rockchip-rk3188-mini-pcs/ not works for me.

Also wifi and ethernet not working.

So in the end I don't know how much I can help you with this. Maybe you can test some other versions and take it a step further.
So please let us know if you find anything new about it.

I've spent two days trying to install linux on a neo x7, and this is the most I've got from it.

I'm end up with wasser firmware 3.0.6. (Lolipop 5.1.1). It is slightly slower than 4.2.2 but I can use youtube, netflix, hbo, spotify... on old tv
and I think it's the best thing that can be put on the device right now.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
At least I've found the linuxium image, on SDcard, it is based on ubuntu 12, video, lan and sound are ok, all works fine.
But it is more oldest and not be usable for me. (I want to make an homeassistant server)
repo not working and some module is missing (for example I must cross-compile a module for ch34x serial to usb converter, for arm)

Ohh, I'm not really into that area, but good idea for home assistant.
Glad to hear any linux works on this device.
Could you somehow share that version you have?
Maybe it would be good as a web server, which is actually why I'm trying to install linux.

Hi, I suggest that you try armbian for rk3188. Unfortunately native wifi and LAN do not work and you will need an USB wifi dongle for network connection, but I think it is worth a try.
