Would you be so kind of indicating the steps followed to upgrade the SSD? My J50C-8SE has only one slot available which is currently used by the 240GB SSD. Replacing this with a new one would require copy the OS which I understand is embed in the BIOS or something?
Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

The Windows License is embedded in the BIOS.

If you don't mind starting from scratch, you can swap out the SSD and reinstall the OS.

There are also several tools that you can use to copy (and save) your windows product key.
I always do that in case i need.

sorry month's late- i had a Sabrent USB 3.2 Type-C Tool-Free Enclosure for M.2 PCIe NVMe and SATA SSDs (EC-SNVE) which came with software to do cloning.. made things real easy

I have upgraded my 240GB system SSD to Silicon Power 1T SSD. Did some cloning and migration, it is up and running now. I am using Minix J50-C Plus. Reason to choose SP over Samsung EVO and WD Blue is that SP is using SLC, thought I'd give it a try. Here are some details:

Silicon Power A55 M.2 2280 SSD 1TB (SP001TBSS3A55M28) Seq. Write speed 560MB/s Seq. read speed 530MB/s

I just checked Amazon, it is going for around <US$38 (+free shipping), if interested check it out, ok.
