MCU update

Was hoping I could get some advice on this question. I have had my UH-9 for 18 months now and in genral am pleased with its performance, apart from the odd glitch and bug. Have Marshmallow 6.1 installed and am happy to stay with this version for now. When I got into MCU settings it states I am on version 1 and there is a update available. Is this update needed on my machine and why ? Or should I just leave everything as is on my machine ? Thanks for any advice.
 
If I remember correctly, when I was flashing back and forth between factory and ATV roms this MCU update question came up and it was mentioned in original forums. I updated, as did others without problem.

FYI I just checked and I'm at V2 and having no problems...
