Micro SD Card.

Hi Folks,
Just a quick question about the U9-H. I have been using this model for about a year without problems. When I first got it there was a suggestion to insert a MICRO SD card in the provided slot. I didn't do this. but recently bought 32 GB card on sale and would like to know what advantage if any, it would be to install it in the slot. What is the purpose of this card in the box and will I see a difference after installation or just forget it ?
I will do whatever you recommend.
Thanks,
Waterview.

Basically, you can use it in one of two ways with Android Marshmallow.

Either insert the card & simply choose to use it as removable storage as you would in many mobile devices, MP3 players, etc., etc. Add any data you like to it, & remove the card if & as required or insert additional cards containing different data.

Or, you can adopt the storage of the card to essentially expand the 16GB internal storage. You can even move certain apps from the internal storage to the Micro SD to free up additional space. Obviously, if used this way you won't want to remove the card, it would cause problems.

Ultimately, what size & specification is your Micro SD? Are you running low on space with the onboard storage? Which option would you find more beneficial or preferable?

Given the static nature of these media hubs, many choose to adopt the storage & just leave the card in place permanently :).

Hope that helps :).

Thanks for your response. The card is only 32GB and as I am not having problems with the box I think I will take your first suggestion and use it as a removable storage device. I guess I could put photos or music on it and insert and remove it as you said. I just didn't know why it was mentioned when I got the Minix.
I appreciate your time and knowledge AW. Keep up the good work as it's great to know you and your colleagues are there when we get stuck.
