Minix Metro Launcher Screen Blue

Hi, I’ve just updated firmware from 6.x to 7.1.2. I’ve chosen to use the metro launcher, expecting the same green looking screen, however after looking around in settings etc., I can’t seem to understand why I’m seeing this blue screen decal.

As the old Metro Launcher version was green and not able to be changed, MINIX has now changed it to blue as you've noticed.

Fair enough, I can customise that with Nova launcher in any case. My next issue I’m facing is compatibility with a particular live wallpaper. I’m surprised I got this message actually, given the specs for the U9-H. Could I get some help with this problem please (attached message with ‘Your device isn’t compatible with this version). It’s the Day Night Live Wallpaper (All).

I had the same problem when testing the 7.1.2 betas & the final CE ROM. It's not the specs of the U9-H itself, it's an issue the CE ROM. I also had issues with other paid live wallpapers as well.

The same live wallpapers still work just fine with the official MINIX 6.0.1 firmware so I'd suggest returning to 6.0.1 FW008 unless you specifically needed the CE ROM for compatibility with other important apps.

Alright, I’ve gone back to 6.0.1 and I’ll play around with the launcher etc here. As this build didn’t come with Netflix pre-installed not available in ply store), where would I get this and which version if best?

Try typing Netflix in the Search Bar.......

I’m looking for validation, what I understand is the version of Netflix that I can download for this build is essentially the mobile app. That’s ok if that is what it is, just wanted to check this is what you guys have been referring to?

I'm afraid not mate, I have no additional information than is already available to you. (My TV & Sky Q box have native support for 4K Netflix & other streaming apps so I've never specifically needed or used any of my media hubs/mini-PC's for Netflix, Prime Video, etc. I briefly tested the Kodi Netflix add-on a couple of years ago but that couldn't support 4K anyway so it's just easier for me to use the native 4K TV app in my case.)

Did you use the forum search for Netflix ;)? It should have listed this thread which discusses details for a working Netflix version for the U9-H...

It's obviously an older app version but the important thing is it does function. You can probably read backwards from the last post rather than reading the entire thread from the start if it saves you some time to get the info you need :).
