All is well now. I managed to get it working (see post 33). This morning I re-enabled the eMMC, only to find that Windows10 was still on there (it should have been deleted I understand). I re-formatted it and put some docs etc from a spare HD onto it. I'm pleased with it but can't quite understand why it was such problem (I didn't have any real issues with the previous model).
