There is no flashable image ROM available for the T5 so when you try flashing the official firmware zip you will get the verify signature failure, I think it is safe to say you have bricked your device and your only option now will be CoreElec:

Yes and when you try flash this firmware you get the signature verification failure which is normal when the update thinks it is a different box it is being installed on so what firmware did you flash prior to this that gives you a recovery dated 20210105?https://files.theminixforum.com/sha...-u212-dv8553-atv-Minix-v9.3.16-2001201726.zip this firmware Minix - Martin send me this

Just so we are clear here, Android will do a verification check to make sure it is updating a firmware that is firstly compatible with the device it is updating, secondly that it is equal or newer in its version that is currently installed. Flashing a ROM image bypasses this which is clearly what you have done.
Thanks for the honesty, unfortunately there is nothing anyone on this forum can do to help including Minix staff, you will need to contact Minix support: support@minix.com.hkand the device when it opens says tibo tv, I think the minix company did it with some special software. but the last update it received is in October 2019, so I want to update it. the device was purchased new, in america in new york
