fear that it is not limited only to Asia. In Europe and especially in Italy it is beginning to spread like dominoes. Hopefully it slows down with heat. And we can return to our consumerist routine. But above all, do not charge more lives. The planet is getting smaller.
 
Just another quick point because we’re getting lots of emails asking if NEO U22-XJ will keep being delayed even further than Monday 30th March.

The Coronavirus situation has now stabilised here and there are signs of improvements, so we are confident we can begin shipping NEO U22-XJ stock to our authorized distributors and resellers in late March and the official release date of Monday 30th March will not be delayed further.

Though, like some of you guys have mentioned, the Coronavirus is now spreading across Europe and this could potentially impact upon some of our authorized distributors and resellers (and life/business in general) in the region, depending on how the situation progresses in the next few weeks.

So, in mid-to-late March, I recommend contacting your local MINIX authorized partner to check when they expect to receive NEO U22-XJ stock.

Like always, we only recommend purchasing from a MINIX authorized partner and waiting until the official release date on Monday 30th March.
 
hi .... i can only ask if it will have the hdmi spoofing app already integrated in the initial firmware? ... it is very important for me and i also believe for many others .... thanks @MINIX - John

It would be nice to know if the faked WiFi feature, is going to be included in the new firmware on the MINIX u22-xj before buying it. Works great on the u9 when using it for apps that otherwise wouldn't work on a android box

and of course you would expect it to be a firmware feature. Litle point in making a successor device that has less features.;)

MINIX NEO U22-XJ
The new MINIX NEO U22-XJ includes the Amlogic S922XJ SoC, a Hexa Core manufactured in 12nm with 4 ARM Cortex-A73 + 2 ARM Cortex-A53 processors, the GPU manufactured is the powerful ARM Mali-G52 MP6 that allows us to run games like PUBG without problems. This variant of the S922XJ processor includes official support for Dolby Vision and Dolby audio.

At the VPU level we have the Amlogic Video Engine (AVE-10) processor with support for the latest generation video formats. The RAM will be 4GB DDR4 and the storage is 32GB eMMc expandable thanks to a microSD card reader. We will have WiFi aC 2 × 2 MIMO and Bluetooth 4.2, at the connector level we have 3 USB 3.0 ports, 1 USB Type-C for data, Gigabit Ethernet connector, SPDIF digital audio output, an HDMI 2.1, microSD reader and two jack audio The operating system will be Android 9 with a new MINIX launcher.
 
hi, I'm in the market for a new media hub and am currently on the fence between waiting for the U22-XJ or going with the Odroid N2. My main concern is the ability to install/use CoreElec. Is possible to install CoreElec on the U22-XJ? Is the bootloader accessible? Thanks!

For those who have just order the Minix U22 box (not me) when do you expect to provide the OTA firmware update? Imediately after the official release date? For how long it will be available for customers? Thank you so much for your help.

An odd question for someone who hasn't purchased their device before the official release date.

However, it's already been answered under this thread & others regarding the U22 bud, (it's not like you needed to look far for the info) ;)!! The OTA update is expected to go live on the official release date.

For how long will what be available to customers? (Assuming you mean OTA updates for the U22? Firmware is still available for older devices MINIX released years ago, otherwise, you're asking a question no one can answer without the aid of a crystal ball ;).)
 
I own few android boxes including the U9-H. Most of them have sleep modes. The U9-H does't. Do the U22 will have a sleep mode for faster turn ON/boot times?

Unfortunately, you’ll either need to return the NEO U22-XJ or wait for the correct, release firmware to be made available on Monday 2nd March 2020"

English is not my native language. Maybe i didn't express myself the right way.
