Minix Neo X39

Hi guys, currently I'm having a minix neo x39 - and I'm trying to recovery it by using the original Android images. My issue here is that when I try to boot it up in Loader boot mode it gets me the "MASKROM" mode.

How I'm booting it? - I'm pressing the recovery button and the power off button in the same time for a couple of seconds.
I also tried to press multiple times the recovery button - but instead of bootloader the AndroidTool finds "an ADB device".

I contacted the support team but they are saying to "press the Recovery button and the Power button at time" - but no success in getting the bootloader mode.

I checked the internet/youtube - for tutorials/info - but no success with those.

Do you have any idea what steps should I get further?

Big thanks,

When we were helping to test a CE ROM for the X39 some ran into issues where they experienced a bright orange screen when the device was first booted up. (Sadly that project also failed so no additional progress was made.)

The only workaround we knew of was to hot plug the HDMI cable after the device had booted. Try pulling & reseating your HDMI after a reboot & see if your display suddenly reverts back to the typical launcher screen.

If that works, you could also try flashing back to an earlier official MINIX X39 image & OTA update back to the latest from there if that may get you back around this issue permanently.

Steps to acess android recovey menu:

- power off your minix (keep the power supply and display connected)
- Press and keep pressed the reset button (pinhole).
- Press power button for 2 seconds.
- Release reset button after 2 seconds.
- Release power button
- wait for recovery menu to appear
