Minix no longer making Android TV boxes?

Is this true: Several manufacturers, like ...MINIX, have retired their popular Android TV boxes to focus on mini-PCs. As such, the popular... MINIX U22-XJ, while still great products, are at the end of their lifespan and need to make way for others.

If true, can I assume a mini PC will do everything my U9-H can do and more. But, maybe I don't need more.

I started to list the benefits of a PC and the use of Android on one. Then I thought nah! Someone else will surely mention this?!

Only to add there are Android Emulators too.
Whether an emulator or a OS is better, I don't know?
Probably the latter!

The emulator make work a lot more the cpu in the backround and eat more ram...so os is clearly better
 
Company's have to decide what business they want to be in. What they do best, the competition, the future and profitability. So, Nvidia is still going stong with android. Minix may not be saying 'Uncle" to (Nvidia) the android box market, just that perhaps, mini pc's is where they want to focus and where their future lies.

That may well be true, but it doesnt excuse Minix from putting new "android" products on the market, which were faulty from day 1, and then not fixing the bugs and abandoning their customers.
 
This is the way! Also why my UH9 and U22 are sitting collecting dust. I finally just gave up on all the non-support and bought just a good box that works great and has a good rep. I could never recommend Minix to anyone ever again. This is also why I'm deleting my account with the forums, because I really don't want to waste my time. Thanks
