Minix Support U22

NEO U22-XJ currently supports passthrough Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus surround sound but not being able to passthrough Dolby True-HD and DTS-HD.
That's because the chip factory did not complete it. Therefore, we are looking for other solutions. As far as I know, other devices that use this chip have the same problem.

Did the other devices have also the other problemes ?
Scrolling... problemes with airmouse
Kl filles problemes how give not working enter Key .....on external keyboards (logitech k400...)
A wallpaper zoom bug
Touchscreen how not work....

Firstly the ugoos am 6 ..have s922 ... bluetooth 5...the CPU have a bigger fréquence as the u22xj...did it have a bigger/ better cooling système as thé u22xj ???


Concerning the touchscreen : i have speak with beelink ,the boxes have a full Android...the beelink staff have answer that touchscreen work with the boxes
The comparable beelink boxes with s922 beelink GT king pro... have also..a higher CPU speed as minix u22xj ,And a Mali g52 mp6 and not MP4 ....

This boxes are cheaper but finaly have higher CPU speed,or better bluetooth.....
So i Ask me why buy a minix box ?
Pay Moore for lower speecs and not existing support ???! There was a Time minix users pay moore for better support ,but this time seams finished today ...

Concerning the CPU speed , at this Time the u22xj have the lowest s922 CPU speed . Minix have anonced its for stability....but the other s922 boxes are working perfect and not crash because they are to hoot ...
I hear Say its low différence ...but 4x1,8ghz compared to 4x 2,2ghz is clearly not the Same and a Mali g52 mp6 ( 6 cores) is clearly not the Same as a Mali g52 MP4 (4 cores - Minix u22xj)
Maybe at this Time the 4x 400mhz makes not a Big différence but every day New apps/games are comming out for stronger cpu and this 4x400mhz will make a différence when using

I thing that its possible to give Moore power on this s922 from minix u22xj

I am also very frustrated to sée that i have rebuild completly a car ,hours and days ,weeks of work since minix u22xj is comming out...
In Moore then 1,5 years minix have not make the u22xj work correctly ...so i realy Ask me what they do every day and how many hours they realy work on the firmware every day ...

Wee Can also compared to all this other rooms how have been build for u22xj in short Time ....how finaly have Moore options and work better as the rooms from minix team !

Many thanks all in this post, you have stopped me from scrapping my new u22, recieved last saturday. I am gutted I had not read this post and wish I had bought through amazon instead of ebay, at least I could send it back.

I have 2 other minix boxes, x7 and u9 both excellent and going strong but let down by lack of app support, hence recent u22 purchase. I too am a loyal minix lover, waiting for ngc5 at the mo.

As many other Neo U22-XJ users/owners i am waiting for a solid fix for the audio issues/flaws as well.

Something is really messed up in this device. The last 9 months i have spent many hours on trying to get rid of some very annoying behavior of the audio part of the U22-XJ. I would never have bought this box if i knew what was coming ...

It might be a good idea to be more open about the process of solving the stubborn issues/flaws instead of keeping it behind the scenes. Why pass on an explanation or status in private to one disappointed user? Publish it here on the Minix Forum and bundle the forces. Put it in the spotlight of this forum instead of keeping it backstage.

It feels like Minix does not realize enough that working together with their clients is essential, maybe even crucial.

Let's hope for the best and see some improvement soon.

It did take time originally but MINIX did actually make the HD audio issues affecting the U22 public approx 1 year ago & they are well known.

Browse the U22 bugtracker threads or existing threads regarding the U22 for existing information.

This information was not published on their website, nor was this information provided to the resellers of the Neo U22-XJ. This information did not show up after a "normal" Google search. It's not fair to try to cover your responsibility by directing to a source somewhere under the surface.

Since then these critical issues are still there and communication from Minix has been very pour.

What are you trying to say? All frustrated U22 users did not read well before buying? Because Minix admitted the major issues one year ago somewhere on the web we can't blame them for selling a premium box that still does not work as advertised?

Believe me, i know the threads by hart ... What to do with all the existing information? We are hoping/waiting for a new firmware version that will fix things!

My box is running on SlimboxTV V12.2 and CoreELEC for months now.

Arctic Wolf is not from Minix team ,he is helper in his free Time ,so all this is not his fault ,no need to be "agressive" with him ..
The complet forum staff and all helper make turn the forum and try to help ,its not thé fault from this peopel if minix makes ssssshit

with what firmware ??

more generally I have found the "Display" options of the u22 firmware troublesome and certainly the defaults are wrong.

Suggest you try to set Dolby Vison to disable, HDR Policy to adaptive HDR and HDR prioity to HDR 10 and reboot
 
Hi.

After some consideration as to post this or not. I decided for the former in order to try and bring some hope for all who are frustrated with the lack of support from Minix staff in Hong Kong.

Out of courtesy and respect I will not publish my emails to their CEO.

But to summarise: I wrote to him yesterday with a firm but as always, polite complaint about the lack of support regarding updates and fixes to bugtracker FW006A. And indeed the last one FW007, which was of no real solution.
And, also the lack of response from minix staff on forum complaints.

He replied late last night Asian Time, and has taken a serious approach to my issues, not just mine but ALL issues from all members.

He has instructed his support staff to get a grip of All issues on u22 faults. And to respond to forum complaints by answering them on the forum. I have a copy of his email to the staff. He did also say that they were having problems with passthrough due to lack of support from Amlogic.

He was genuinely apologetic and thanked me for raising all the points that I did.

So heres hoping. Please don't shoot the messenger. And let's give them the time and see if actions speak louder than words.

I doubt there will be any response from Minix today, because as he pointed out, today is a national holiday in Hong Kong.

There are only two options here, laugh and move on or get angry and harm your health. Even though I've been proud to have served this forum as a moderator I have to say I moved on a long time ago, I expect nothing from Minix and live my life happily streaming along with alternatives. I hope you choose not to harm your health (y)

Instead of ALWAYS complaining, get off your high horse and do something positive!!
