Minix U9-H won't start

thanks pusb87, I have tried that to no avail, as the android splash is disappearing I can see the resolution changing to a very course display before the blank screen, all within a second. When i tried the HDMI cable disconnect I saw the resolution of the TV/Minix appear on the tv screen (720p 60Hz) for a second before the screen when blank again, no sign of any video from Minix during this process. Given that I cannot get the recovery screen to appear, the box seems to be unrepairable, any thoughts appreciated.

Have you actually tried connecting to a PC to see if you can flash the device?

The fact you can't get or possibly see the recovery menu doesn't necessarily mean you can't use the burning tool!

Additionally, when you do follow @Villa 's advice, flash using the method previously discussed in this post & you'll hopefully retain all existing settings & data too....

Tried making USB as explained in the link shown in my previous post, did not work. The usb stick i used has a data LED that lights during data transfer, i did not see the LED light during the boot process, I also tried sd burning card approach to no avail, It appears that the boot up process is not checking the usb or sd card for any programs during the initial boot procedure, but it boots enough to show the splash screen, so i have run out of ideas, but will continue my search

Could not get the minix to work and, without a recovery menu appearing, I see no way to remedy it. Ordered a new Ugoos am6b+ from Aliespress, it has the latest amlogic cpu so i am hoping for longevity, I would have ordered a Nvidia Shield but it does not have a SPDIF outlet, which I need for my aging AVR. I looked at the latest Minx but my experience with the U9 has dampened my enthusiasm for them.

Hi, recently I flashed my device to 7.2.1 ,but by my stupidity I choose form burning tool configuration Erase all instead Normal Erase ;( Now I when my device start after Android logo I have blank screen. I figure it out that is resolution problem, and if I connect minix directly to Tv instead AVR it works, also when I've tried to clear cache using Android recovery mode, remote doesn't work (minix a3 remote) and can't move between options. also when recovery mode is on the screen I see on the bottom error E:/ failed to read /fstab.unknown.
But the best part of it is, all that issues are when 7.2.1 version is installed, when old fw008 is on, android revovery mode works fine and I can connect it minix to vcr
I've used burning tool 2.0.9 and 2.1.7.1 versions, same issue.
Any idea how to fix it, did I remove something by using Erase all option? I know I'm not the first with resolution problem.
As addition I used 7.2.1 version before without problems (screen resolution recovery mode), than I change it back to old original one fw008, also no problems.

If you took the time to read posts from other end users who had flashed the 7.1.2 CE ROM under the 7.1.2 CE ROM thread, you'd have seen that it can introduce some audio & display issues with some AVR's ;).

You've also noted that if you directly connect the U9-H to your TV instead of through your AVR, the resolution issue ceases to be a problem.

Ultimately, if you don't actually need 7.1.2 then you're better off just sticking with the official FW008.
