My New Minix480GB SSD issues

I just purchased the Minix 480GB SSD an it doesn't seem to be working. I expected to plug it in and take off. Can someone tell me what's going on? I don't see it showing in my Finder or anywhere else. Can someone help? I also have the power plugged into the Minix but my power is being drained on my MacBook, not charging as it should
