I don't have any immediate application for the USB-C port on my new NEO J50C-4 so I bought a Neo C-UHSI to provide more USB 3.0 ports that I can use. I think I have wasted my money.
The additional HDMI adapter works as I expected. The USB 3.0 ports work with a USB memory stick, but anything else I have tried: (keyboard, wired or wireless mouse, DVD Rom drive), does not work at all. It would be fine if I only wanted to use four memory sticks at the same time - but I don't.
Have I got a defective Neo C-UHSI or is there something about USB-C that I don't understand?

Please see below USB power limits info that is included in the user guide:

When using a USB 3.0 device, the output is limited to 5V/900mA max.
When using a USB 2.0 device, the output is limited to 5V/500mA max.

You need to check whether your accessories exceed this limit, the DVD Rom Drive most likely does.

Thanks for pointing out the power limmits - I should have checked them myself before posting.
I assume that the User Guide figures apply to each individual USB port and not to all four of them together.
As you suggested, the CD-Rom Drive at 1.600mA could never have worked.
The keyboard and wired mouse, (I cannot find the power rating for the Nano receiver of the Logitech Pebble wireless mouse), are both 100mA, which implies that they should work. Is there anything else I should check before sending the Neo C-UHSI back to Minix Direct, because it does not meet the published specification?

Please send me a PM and I'll help to resolve this matter.

John - Thanks for your offer of help.
I would be happy to send you a PM if I knew what it was, and how to send it.

Hello,
Is it also possible to make this work on Linux (where Chrome OS is based on)? For me, only the USB-ports are functional. The HDMI-port just doesn't work.

Are you connecting the HDMI while the computer is ON?

Have you tried connecting before switching on the computer?
