Neo U1 Remote Problem

I have a problem with the remote that came with the U1 that makes it nearly impossible to navigate most menus. Every time I press the Up (on the circular up, down, right, left) wheel it kicks me out of the MINIX device back to my TV home menu. If a menu doesn't wrap back to the top I have to go back a menu and hope it takes me to the top.

Has anyone seen this and does any know how to fix this?

The remote that comes with the NEO U1 is the IR-Remote, it sends out the "commands" through infrared.
In your cases, I would think that the code value of the "UP" key on the IR-Remote is the same as that of your TV.
So you get this issue as you claim.
The way to resolve your issue is to cover the area on the TV that receives the infrared signal with something or a piece of paper.
Then the NEO U1 shall receive the signal while the TV cannot.
