With 003A FW, the top row of app icons in the home screen of Launcher3 is lost on restart/rebooting as happened in 002 FW, its not a massive problem, its just you have to spend a minute or so putting them back every restart.

John, can you confirm that if this firmware is manually installed that it will accept further OTA updates...it is not clear from your comments

thanks

For information, I had to install v003 via USB burning tool, but updating from v003 to v003A worked without any issues via FOTA.
Of course, I don't know what it means about v004, so can't comment on the future! I'm now running Antutu 8.3.3 again and will let you know if there are any differences from v003.

*EDIT* benchmarking is the same, give or take few points, which is what is to be expected since this is a bugfix release.

Still have the mouse cursor problem where I have to click on the left of the button for it to work. For instance, if uninstalling an app, clicking on the "O" of "OK" works, but clicking on the "K" doesn't.

Since I use Gboard from the Play Store and don't have that situation, I leave the idea just in case you wish to try it. Besides, you will get the possibility of making it float around the screen as a smaller shape that won't cover half the space.

I also have an issue using a mouse. Sometimes when scrolling through the minix settings or other settings menu, using the scroll wheel, the items do not scroll. If I hold the scroll wheel down and drag the sub menus up or down and then release the scroll wheel, scrolling returns to normal.

My wifi speedtest results are terrible. I have a 1GB down and up speed and the mesh is just next to the box. I am getting 19.5 down and 23.8 up. On my iphone, it’s 245 down and 357 up. What settings do I need to change?

I'm not even able to connect to my Wifi. I have a separated 2,4, 5G +a Guest Wifi also but U22 cannot connect to any of these 3 own networks.
It can see them in the available networks, but when I try to connect, type the password (were doublechecked that it's correct) and then after a while it says - cannot find the network. Is it a known issue?

By way of feedback as to what you might expect to get, I have had my U22-XJ on 1Gb down + up via 5G wifi from a router 6metres away upstairs with another 5G channel and two other 2.4 channels all separated available to it, and it has remained on the 5G channel I originally put it on over three weeks ago with zero problems. I installed 003A FW yesterday, and have just done a Ookla speed test and got 221Mbps down, 246Mbps up, which is within its normal 200-300Mbps range.

I installed the image and it appears to be V003 as it's filename suggests.

Run FOTA app and V003A update is available.

Even though the file is named V003 it is the same as 003A FW OTA.
003A FW = 003 FW except:
1.) OTA problem is fixed.
2.) CoreELEC fix is included in OTA
So John's comment means that V003A includes...
1.) OTA problem is fixed.
2.) CoreELEC fix is included in OTA

Reading this line without the exception doesn't read correctly!
"Even though the file is named V003 it is the same as 003A FW OTA."

Took me a while to understand. If you flashed V003 then V003A is the same, if you got V003 via OTA then V003A brings it in line with the equivalent of having flashed V003. The main one being CoreELEC could only be booted from USB-C on OTA V003, with V003A it can now boot from USB3.

If you flashed V003 then V003A is the same
No! V003 is V003. ie: V003A w/o 1.) OTA problem is fixed. 2.) CoreELEC fix is included in OTA

As I understand it V003A is only available via OTA.

If you have V002 then it will update to V003A.

yes , thanks @Villa .....I took the plunge and have manually updated to V003 and then it allowed OTA to V003A. (y):)

No, V003 flashed was not the same as V003 OTA, V003 flashed already had the fixes in V003A, that said it makes no difference whether you flash V003 or got it via OTA V003A will still install.
CoreELEC

Unfortunately, the patch to make CoreELEC bootable from USB 3.0 ports is missing from 003FW OTA firmware update.

We will add the patch to NEO U22-XJ's next OTA firmware update.

If you wish to boot from USB 3.0 ports now, you'll need to manually install the firmware.

Alternatively, if you wish to use CoreELEC but don't want to manually install the firmware, CoreELEC can be booted from the USB-C port using the OTA firmware version.
