NEO U22-XJ: 004FW [20200612] - Bugtracker [OTA Now Available]

I am incredibly fps sensitive, so no, that's not what going on here.
that doesnt alter the fact the refresh rate switching doesnt work and you need to determine what framerate your LG TV is playing your media files at.

You say 23.976 plays fine ( to your senstive eyes,) what is the LG framerate info showing ?

Not sure why you need to act condescending, but whatever.

I am not able to access the service menu. I've spent all morning trying to figure it out, but all of the instructions I've found doesn't work. I've also tried a variety of Android IR remotes, but also no cigar.

But it's plainly visible that on 24.000 there's intermittent stutter. Even insensitive eyes can see that.

Im simply informing you of facts re AFR from within Kodi ....

also to get AFR working you should install >> https://androidpctv.com/afrd-automatic-refresh-rate-switch-amlogic-tvbox/

you can then disable refresh rate option in Kodi

this works well

Re LG >> this works on the C9 not sure about the C7
-- go to Settings - Channels, then highlight the top menu option within Channels and press the numeric button "1" for five times (11111) to display the hidden "Host Diagnostics" screen (hardware, tuner, Wi-Fi)
--- to get to "HDMI Diagnostics" menu use the arrow buttons on the circle surrounding the scroll wheel and highlight the "HDMI Mode" submenu, click OK/Enter (scroll wheel) and a second screen ("HDMI Diagnostics") appears (general, video link, audio, phy, hdcp, scdc, avi info frame, spd, hdr)

According to this, the 2017 models don't have HDMI Diagnostic menu:

I have a Philips tv, so i have the green/purple screen. Until today i used a Minix U9-H box and it has a feature called Force RGB that solve the problem. Today i received the new Minix U22-XJ. I can find the RGB signal settings but cannot find the setting for Force RGB. Where is it? Did you not make it available on the firmware? Thanks for help

Hi... long time MINIX user new U22-XJ user. Updated easily to latest firmware most things appear to be working well but I am having some problems with HDMI or possibly CEC. I read the following on another Android forum:
"... there might be an underlying v4.9 Linux Kernel – HDMI EDID bug that needs fixing on all newer AMLogic devices.
The same HDMI EDID issue will be present on the MINIX U22-XJ."

My problem is that when U22 is connected to my TV (Panasonic TH-55GZ1000 - Australian Model) the HDMI functions disappear from the TV menu and also the function to select between TV speaker and external speakers (amplifier) disappear. I have a Yamaha amplifier with 4K passthrough but only at 30 frames. It recognises Dolby Atmos but plays as DD True HD.
Has anyone else had this or similar problems? Any suggestions greatfully received.
Is there an HDMI bug as suggested in another forum???
Looking forward to your thoughts.

Ok, finally had time to try this, and it now shows the TV's refresh rate.

When I set framerate in Android/Minix settings, it correctly switches to the framerate I set:

However, this is overridden by Kodi, which uses it's own framerate.

But, it doesn't appear to work correctly. When I set to 24, it is actually 25:

And if I set it to 25 it becomes 30:

So, I'm not sure if the bug lies in Kodi then, or what's going on here. BTW, it's the latest Kodi Leia, if that was not clear.

Hello, the copy, cut and paste function does not work on the U22-XJ inside Google chrome with Neo A3 or A2, I have both. I remember that this same problem existed on the MINIX NEO U1 and it was corrected with an update. I apologize if there is already an error report because I have not seen it.
Greetings and thanks

Hello, sorry for not answering earlier. I do not think that this related, from what I deduce, they have problems of displacement I do not. My problem is that the clipboard copy and paste function doesn't work when selecting a text in Chrome. And it is exactly the same as it happened with the Minix Neo U1 and I reiterate it was solved with an update. I don't think it's an app problem, on U1 I have the latest Chrome update and it works perfectly.
Thanks for your interest.

I've had other Android OS boxes and the copy/paste and grab/drag functions didn't work in Chrome on those either. Yes, it works fine on the U1 but the solution implemented may not work on devices running newer Android versions.

I'd add that given those functions work fine in for example Firefox then to some extent it is an app problem and any solution would be a workaround.

U22 Resetting.

I stream videos from my PC to my U22 using X-plore and there viewer.

Sometimes the U22 completely resets it's self.

This seems to happen when the connection times out and the viewer is trying to play/load the video.

Hi. X-plore is great but for file manager.

Example to you using kodi (available in google store)
Server : Windows PC
Client: U22-XJ

-Share on your server a folder.
-Install kodi (latest stable 18.8) on client.

Stream your videos from your server using your client (with kodi).

Check this link:
https://kodi.wiki/view/Adding_video_sources

I use a NAS (for server), instead of a windows PC but the procedure is very similar and it works very well.
For best results use ethernet instead of wifi.

Haven't we already been down this alley with you very recently regarding the use of the built in media viewers in file explorers sometimes being unreliable??? ( https://theminixforum.com/index.php...s-showing-in-full-resolution.2939/#post-26318 )

You were offered advice of how to check for & potentially correct that issue there as well, but you never bothered to confirm whether you tested if the problem was persistent across other apps too, or if it was just down to the X-plore file manager itself. (Although, I think this repetitive post is a fairly clear indication of what you did with the previous advice you'd already received!!)

Now, you're essentially posting about the same problem with X-plore all over again, only this time the problem is with moving images rather than your still photographs.

Try another app for your photos/multimedia as previously suggested!!!! (If you keep asking these questions for help but refuse to listen & blindly carry on doing what you were to begin with, why bother to post to ask for advice in the first place?)

Ultimately, it just wastes everybody's time & you still don't resolve your problem. (Not to mention, it's a particularly ignorant practice too. If you keep doing it & one day need to post about a more critical problem you're having, you may in turn find that nobody will bother to respond to you at all if they know you'll just blindly ignore any advice they take the time to offer you anyway!!)

If you don't want to use Kodi, VLC will also play your networked media & the Android version of VLC requires very little configuration. But whatever you do, either use something other than X-plore to view your photos/multimedia or put up with the problems in silence.

Let us know if this solves your issue this time around or if you just aren't willing to try something else other than X-plore so people are aware not to bother offering additional suggestions that you'll just ignore anyway.

You have have a big mouth ArcticWolf.
Why ridicule me??? Then help me and then tell me to say silent.....Oh, it's your Big Mouth.

I believe the issue is relevant, X-plore is loaded on the U22 from factory. Supplied.
The fact the U22 resets can't be solely down to X-plore.
