How did you get back to FW 0004 please?
 
Thank you. But it seems I would have to manually update using burning tool. But I do not have a windows based machine. But thank you for answering. Not to worry. I will just wait for FW0006 and use u9h in the meantime. ??

In the meantime why dont you try Coreelec on the u22 if you use Kodi a lot, it works great ( much better currently than on android) ;)
 
i am very satisfied with my u22 .... fake hdmi problem solved .... but i'm noticing problems with Orange Tv FR app and Bein Sport Connect FR .... live videos don't start ..... I had no problems with u9 ..... thanks
 
I would like to mention an issue with two apps that I have been using, one is a subscription iptv app that worked on the V4 firmware, but since updating to V5 several sections no longer connect, whilst on my U9-H and U1 all sections are available. The other app am mentioning is something I tried after seeing an enquiry on the forum, the app is Peacock TV, I found there were sound issues in as much as some content had no sound whilst other content played with sound, I have since had an opportunity to test the Peacock service on my U9-H and movies that play with sound on the U9 do not on the U22-XJ. I might opt for flashing V4 or have my U9 running alongside the U22, but would like to know what the causes are.
 
Hi. After succesfull update to fw5, from time to time the entire display of my minix becomes very small. It becomes about 1/6 the size of the tv screen and the rest of the area turns black. Everything still works but it is so small that its impossible to do something with the box.The only way to fix this issue is to restart the machine.This phenomena occurs totally random.Does anybody know why or how to prevent this? looks like a bug in the software. I attach here a snapshot of the screen to show you the problem. Thanks.tiny display.jpg

I've seen that a couple of times and I believe it may be related to the CEC issues introduced in FW5 and that hopefully will be addressed in FW6.

To prevent it (with my set-up at least), simply make sure your TV (and A/V Receiver if you are using one) are switched on before turning on the U22.
 
I have similar problem too - but not with that small rectangle. I have a screen fell apart after boot, only lines and scrambled picture. However if I try to control it with the remote I can hear that it's working, can hear that switching between icons, and I was able to start Kodi blinded. However I cannot turn the Minix off correctly (Powerbutton is set to standby for me and it didn't help). So I had to power off and on to resolve. It happens very rarely, random, 1 out of 50 startup or so.
 
Just got my new U22 and updated to the latest OTA firmware. I am also having the same issue with AC3 audio only on Plex. I am just connected via HDMI to my TV and find that I have to fiddle around a bit to get the sound to work. I toggle Auto to manual sound selection on Minix and toggle on and off the audio bypass to HDMI in Plex until it returns. But it can go again when you come out of Plex or reboot your Minix. Also wish we could select to use normal keyboard (K400+) key 28 (Enter) as I use my Minix for everything and its annoying that I can't use enter or cut and paste text. I was so use to this with my Minix U1. Would it be possible to have a toggle switch to select either keyboard. I am asking a lot but would be great to have sorted in your next firmware update. Love the speed of the U22

Thanks. My TV is usually on before the minix is on. But, since I have another devices connected to same TV screen, I suppose that the TV must also be set to the right input source (for the minix) before turning on the minix itself, otherwise maybe the minix thinks that the TV is off. Anyway It is a bug and it should be addressed in the next FW update. It never happened to me on U1 neither on U9.

My way around is to use Plex plugin in Kodi.

That's interesting I haven't used Kodi for a long time since I have Tivimate. I was actually using Emby with my X7 and U1 perfectly using the android tv app so I could use my remote, but it won't even open on the u22 so switched over to Plex

I have the same thing.

Next to the issue of the HDMI-CEC problem that is not responding from standby mode.
When is the next update released ??
