NEO U22-XJ System UI not responding

@Pete

you have far to many "Movie/TV/IPTV" type apps installed of a dubious heritage. that need to be removed

You could try to uninstall them but i feel it would stll leave dreggs and traces around.
My best advice is a factory reset , followed by a complete reinstall of the firmware, and then check your system before installation of any other apps.

Do your research on the apps !!
Thanks Guys i think my problem was Facebook Apps removed them and my system is working much better so far Much Luv Always !!

I don't understand your screenshot?
I suggested you Wipe cache partition in the Recovery Menu!

I included a link How to enter Recovery.
Hi

I have followed your link to enter recovery mode. But it does not work.

I see the sleep light on, even when powering down the u22.
Basic question....does clearing cache from settings>storage do the same as entering recovery mode and clearing cache?

Any advice appreciated.

You have Sleep for your power option, this can be changed in the settings but if you prefer it like this then use the Minix power app in "all apps" to power off or long press the power button on the remote for the power option popup and choose power off, if the light is still on which I doubt then pull the power cord, plug back in and try recovery again.

Nope, settings/storage cache is the app cache, recovery/cache is the system cache, here is a good read:

Thanks Marty
I was trying it on nova. Switched to MINIX Launcher. Tried MINIX power button. Still no joy. Changed from "sleep". to power off. See both images. Worked fine.

However, after powering up, this warning flashed up on my screen in MINIX launcher.

@dak7385 I've no idea what your issue is with powering down the device or your reason to switch from Nova to the MINIX Metro launcher to access the Power options.

Just pull the power cable and reconnect then try the Recovery!

Thank you. No big issue. Just did not work at first using Nova.

As an aside the minix standard remote and the A3 do not work on the Nova launcher when trying the centre button direction arrows to navigate around the apps on the screen. So I use the mouse to open apps. Once the app is open, both remote navigation arrows work fine within any app that I choose to open.

Trying to get into recovery mode....In minix launcher.....Used the power on off icon..box stayed in sleep mode. Pulled the power cable out....put it back in.
Box lights up automatically.
Please be aware that I connect my box to a safety strip. And as soon as I switch the rocker to "on", the box switches on and starts up.
This was already reported by Allmankind on Sunday.

Solution turned off sleep in "power key definition" as Marty suggested.
And it worked fine.

You are right. I reflashed the box, turned the box back on and never looked at MCU

Just checked it now and it is enabled. But I do not recall turning it on after refreshing. It is not something I would even touch.

So, turn it off?

Got that ok. That is what I was using before.

Just wanted to follow your instructions to the letter to get into recovery. But all ok now?
