Hi. I advice you to read again step by step all usb procedures to manually install lollipop firmware. I think you may have done something wrong to flash from a pc to minix.

Hi .. i followed the intructions ... but coudn't connect it to the pc .. i saw that many people had the same problem...
i updated the minix via SD card with out problems and works perfect!.

I have a problem getting the RAR file to the burning tool, the tool loaded ok but I can’t get it to recognise where the rar file is.

I've tried every possibility to upgrade my box , but no luck.
First i've tried vis USB .
Its connecting and I've flashed the RC2 img. then it hangs on Minix logo .
I tried with SD Card - Same thing.
Restarted several time , no luck.

Did you ever find a solution to this problem with the Usb burning tool software not recognizing your box? I am having a terrible time and have been trying for 2 days and can't get it to work.

I offered 3 ways to fix this issue - the burning tool does not recognize the device.
NEO X8-H Plus and NEO U9-H share the same instruction.
Please let us know if it works.

Yes step 6 is very important and sometimes is tricky to recognize the device.
Maybe you this part wrong :" To flash the MINIX NEO U9-H firmware, the power button should be held down for more than 6 seconds, then the ‘USB Burning Tool’ shall identify that the NEO U9-H is connected. " .

Hi I am having issues with my minix neo x8 plus with no audio being heared, it has done this many times, not cable issues as tried many, I tried reset but still same issue so I was thinking If a firmware upgrade maybe needed? I have tried to upgrade but gets stuck on Minix Logo. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi what device do you have? It is a x8 plus or x8h plus ? The devices are different , also the firmware , this thread is for x8h plus.
The firmware in this thread is not compatible with MINIX NEO X8 Plus. It is only compatible with MINIX NEO X8-H Plus.
NEO X8 Plus and NEO X8-H Plus use different CPUs, firmwares are not interchangeable.

hi on the box says x8 plus. in the software says x8h plus. i tried to install to lollipop but gets stuck on minix logo. i tried on another box and worked just fine. for now i resorted to stock firmware and sound ok but not happy....
