If the box says x8 plus the box is a x8 plus. I think you installed kitkat x8h plus firmware in your box. Install the correct firmware for your x8 plus. There is no official lollipop firmware for x8 plus .

I flashed two x8 Plus's with it and it works very well. With display setting / Screen rotation: you might wanna use "force land" or something like that as some apps will not display correct. After that all is fine.

If the serial number on the hardware says NEO X8 Plus then it's certainly a NEO X8 Plus unit.
You may also check the original packaging or invoice/receipt if you still have them.

View and use step by step the instructions and you should be able to flash the firmware.
I did follow both instructions as in the Video to says to power on and press recover at the same time and in the manual it say hold for 6 seconds and I tried both but it didn’t work. How every I did connect to HDMI and the TV shows “Andriod system recovery <3e>”

make sure the "world cup" driver installed when you installed the Burning Tool, if not uninstall and reinstall
try different combinations of usb cables and USB2.0 ports...it can be problematic to get a connection
and and make sure you have no "security" software that may be blocking the connection

Thank you for your advice however it didn’t work. I tried uninstall and reinstalled and ensured the driver “World Cup” is installed, tried 3 different USB cable, tried switching the USB port, update the Root Burning Tools to 2.1.6 but with all this it is still not able to detect

You can try SD Card method but i will not recommend you.
It is better usb pc method.

Hi all, I'm trying to do this from a 2019 Mac desk top (iMac) and i notice that the burning tool is not compatible nor is the the rar file, is there anybody with a Mac that can assist?..thx

USB burning tool is for windows pc only.
I dont have MAC and i only have experience with PC.
You can try use VMWARE (virtual machine) to run windows pc or talk to a neighbor or family that have a windows PC.

Query, after recording the image, when the computer restarts, it keeps the image below and never stops booting. Will he be dead? Do I leave it as a paperweight?
Can you fix recording a new image or one that generates a boot?

Hi please confirm , is your box a x8h plus? Check the back side of your box, seria number and also check the original package. Flash the correct firmware. This thread if for x8h plus. The other devices like for example x8 plus are different and the firmware is different also. Check your hardware and install the correct firmware.

Attached photo of the model, it is correct. The other thing that happens is that after carrying out the update and going through all the aforementioned, I find it hard to put the device back into the mode to update the firmware again with the USB_Burning_Tool application. Keeping the power pressed for 6 seconds so that the equipment is put in the new firmware injection mode is not activated, after many attempts I achieve it. That's weird, is not it?
If it occurs to you that I can do thank you, I need to try to record firmware by SD but I think it is simpler OTG mode.
