Worked without any problems and unit is now working with new Lollipop version.

- Burn Card Maker v2.0.3
- Samsung 32 GB Evo SD Card

Many thanks!

PS Could be nice to have a much more recent Android version, as for the hardware the unit remains fully capable, but some recent app updates are missing.

Finally I updated successfully. Thx to the people of this forum.
I'd used the method of the burning card and had lots of problems to get the updating bar.
I first pressed and holded the reset button, then plugged the cord and after pressed once the power button. I holded the reset button until my TV lost the M
Hi. do you have an image to share with me. I need to upgrade my minix. thanks.

Resurrecting an old thread...

I successfully upgraded my Neo X8-H Plus to Lollipop 5.1.1 using the OTG method.

Lollipop boots up fine but neither of the remote controls are working.

I tried both images:
X8H_PLUS_LOLLIPOP_RC2.img
X8-H_Plus-Android_5.1-20170612-Burning_Tool.img
Both flashed fine but neither had the remoted working.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

Y.

You dont mention which remote but if either an A2 or A3 they should work.

Check you have plugged in the dongle and if still not working try a rrepair

Sorry, when I said neither of the remotes are working I meant the A2 and the A3.

I plugged the dongle to multiple USB ports with both firmware versions, and even tried Finless. The A2 and A3 did not work in any.

Do I need to perform re-pairing?

Sorry to state the obvious but, batteries?

Do you have a PC you could try the remotes with?

Hi.
Can you please also test the USB ports?

You can test and insert a wired keyboard/mouse.

Weired!

Spend half a day troubleshooting and testing, with 3 x different ROM's of 5.1.1, with 3 x different USB ports, and could not get the 2 remotes working.

Took your advice and tested in a Windows laptop - no problems. Remotes just worked.

Plugged back in to the Minix - and voila! Worked first go.

Don't know what happened but it's working now.

Thanks for your help!

Now for the next issue: troubleshoot Kodi issues. But that's for other forums.

Thanks again!

Thanks. Yes, tested the USB ports and all good.

Remotes are now working after the dongle was tested in a Windows machine. Weired!
