Hello All,

I am not sure from reading through the forum threads if the neo-x8-plus can be upgraded to 5.01 Lollipop?
Read the x8-h can be upgraded...
I basically just see info on this h model. Could someone clarify the difference....

Tried USB burn method confirming the world cup drivers have installed. They were there... Don't have a
the OTG cable with the box.. Buddy said he never seen one included with his purchase... Used my phone charging cable
to try, didn't work... Tried the SD burn card method and no luck either... Have programmed many boxes before with USB burn app and it worked... Can get into recovery using reset pin but nothing shows on SD card when trying to upgrade..
At a loss to figure out what I'm doing wrong...
Any suggestions would be great help, Thanks...
 
If Kodi is your main usage like mine is, I use Libreelec from this addy:

Choose the "x8-x8h" download and browse to "18.1-re-up Folder"
18.1 just got updated yesterday and works great for the neo-x8-plus
Same website has an SD-Card burning tool, I mostly run it as Admin as sometimes it didnt burn propper.
You just run from SD-Card and if you remove the card you still have your android. I would NOT recommend to install it to internal !!!!
 
So what your saying is that there is no Lollipop upgrade for the x8 plus??
Not running Kodi at all. My friend has these 2 Neo x8 plus units that he had hoped to upgrade....
 
Thanks again for the info!! Will keep trying USB burn tool app. Will try on Win 7 machine. Have mostly been using my Xp laptop...
 
Congrats! :D Btw. with display setting / Screen rotation: you might wanna use "force land" or something like that as some apps will not display correct. After that all is fine.
