I bought a used monitor from a store that was going out of business and it had a MINIX device running the tv. It looks like MOOD: installed their own firm ware on it, but I am able to get to the recovery by powering it up with while holding the reset button. I tried using the USB burn tool, but it doesn't get recognized in the tool, although it is showing up in my windows usb panel as a NEO-X88-I to safely eject.
Any one know how to reinstall the stock firmware another way than the USB burn tool?

Thanks, now it's showing up as a rockchip composite device, and I can see it as a android ADB. Still not being reconized by the USB burner, but if I can find the x88i or equivalent firmware I may be able to adb it? Thanks again for the help you have already provided !

I got a hold of a Neo-x88 that was being used for a store display, it's running a firmware from MOOD, but I am able to get it to go into recovery, and I think I might be able to install the correct firmware through ADB. But I don't see the firmware for that device listed. And if anyone know how to do what I need to do that would be amazing!! PS I can't seem to get the USB burning tool to recognize the device.

Only apparent difference from that to the U1 seems to be the fact the X88i is HDMI 1.4 while the U1 is HDMI 2.0.

Processor is also different (A17, while U1 is A53) and it has Android 4.4

Good thing, I was going to try it. So I can't figure out which firmware I am supposed to load

Sorry @stevenfawesome, when I started my comment I had been looking at the machine specs on the website you mentioned and it reported, in the specs area, it has "Android KitKat 5.1" (makes no sense) while in the features area the icon reports Android 4.4, after finding this illusive information in the manufacturer website. I thought I'd better point out some more differences from both machines exactly to avoid you or someone to think they are similar. Unfortunately they don't. I am glad @Skynet was fast and clear dissuading you.
