New MINIX Android box, based on the new SOCs

Hi all
Due to the production of new "SOCs" by different companies (Including S905X4 and etc.), new Android boxes have also entered the market.
Does Minix also have a plan to produce a new Android box (boxes) based on new SOCs?

As far as I know the U22 problems are due to the Amlogic S922 SOC and other devices made with this SOC have the same problems.
Other Amlogic SOCs do not have these problems.

The use of new technologies is associated with such problems at first and this is natural.
Like the 8K AV Receivers (Includes Yamaha, Denon, Marantz, etc) that have some problems with the HDMI port, but the problems is not their own, but because of the Panasonic board.

There are a lot of bugs how have nothing to do with the soc but with a not finished firmware ,go take a look in u22xj bugtracker
A simple example : for a box how coast around 160€ is it normal that the box Can not show a simple wallpaper without zoom ?? Things like this have to be tested before bringing out a firmware/box....
For example the custom rom from slimbox how coast 0$ have no problem with wallpaper and some other bugs how are in minix firmware..

If small things like this not work corectly ...its a shame what is going on with u22xj and minix team this Time

I also have enough to beg all the Time/ for every box that i buy minix for make work touchscreen..since x8hplus (old forum)


And thank you Minix for not make work again bluetooth sound on x39 since firmware 2 from 4 ,so i must rest on 1 if i want use bluetooth sound with bluetooth speakers.. my hifi is 2x Sony gtk xb5 bluetooth speaker ? 175€ the x39 !

One of the major issues that really bugs me with the U22 is the lack of HD audio passthrough with Minix firmware.
Wheras, as @Ralf mentions, the slimbox ROM on the U22 does passthrough HD audio.

Look this ,thé answer when i ask for bluetooth sound how not work since firmware 2 on x39
They prefere put the 3 sound output on USB-c ????????? and now i can not update the box or i loose bluetooth sound...
No more answers from minix about this !!!
So is the problem that i buy 2x Sony gtk xb5 bluetooth speaker how work perfect ?
Or
is the problem that minix have make shhhiiittt since firmware 2 from 4 ?
How need USB-c audio output if you have HDMI + 3,5jack ??? ?????

Most likley that in the days of the X8, U1 and U9 Minix had a skilled firmware developer to iron out any bugs. . Now they dont appear to have anyone with the same skill set.
Just my opinion / guess :whistle:

after these years, Android box are become very powerful device for general purpose use such as streaming... I will rather to have a stable product than looking for latest CPU. I am still enjoy my U9.

Yeah I'm pissed man, having tons of issues from the wallpaper to not being able to use copy/paste or hold to save images on chrome. I'm planning on returning the 170$ box and buy something else unless someone has any solutions? Any recommendations? Another box maybe?
