I already had a Minix U1. Until now I couldn't buy U9-H
During this time many devices from other brands were available for me. But I didn't buy any of them.
Did those have a faster processor? Yes
Did those have more RAM? Yes
Did those support HDR? Yes
So why did I wait for the new Minix device?

Because Minix gives me something I didn't find on other brands: "Trust"
In my opinion, the final performance is much more important than the higher numbers.
Just as the 6-cylinder in BMW (for example) is very different from the 6-cylinder in other brands.
When there is no proper power supply, good cooling system, precise assembly, and proper support, 16GB of RAM and a Core i7 processor are also unreliable. So my first choice would still be Minix

But when we trust one brand, we expect it to perform better than other brands.
I agree that the main reason for the delay in releasing the minix devices is the accuracy of the performance.
But there are other good brands that have the same problems.
However, this does not delay the release of their devices.
As for the price, I also agree that the quality of the Minix varies and is worth the extra money.
But we must admit that other competitors are cheaper.

So, if Minix wants to stay in place, it's better to speed up the delivery of devices and software and reduce prices a bit.

I for one could not be happier to read this news about new Minix products. I got so excited when we first heard about the X 39 and I was so disappointed when it ended up not coming out but in hindsight I understand why it was never released and honestly you can't help but respect a company that would rather forgo releasing a product because of quality rather than just releasing it to make whatever money they can make.

I've been using a U1 for the last couple years and while it still plays all of my media just fine there are some things that I don't do on it anymore because I find it to be too slow to enjoy, I used to play games but I have since stopped doing that. I will definitely be a day one buyer of the U 22. In my opinion this upgrade has been a long time coming. Now the only thing that would make this absolutely perfect is if the rumors of a backlit A3 remote ended up being true because I would buy one of those in a heartbeat as well

My friends, I have a question
Does more processing power in one device affect image quality?
Does this mean the movie that the U9 is capable of playing would be better quality if played by the U22?

Not really because video decoding is hadware cabled. A "small" S905 can decode H265 up to 4K.
Image quality depends of many factors, like upscaling algorythms, decoding algorythms, ...

Maybe but not sure. Btw the U22 will decode more video formats than U9, more HDR versions will be supported.

+1 for backlit A3 (A3+?)
I would also love to see Netflix certification, since this is an official Android TV device.
+1 for backlit A3

The Windows remote seems perfect.
+1 for backlit a3☺
I think it is very useful ☺
not for me :(
sorry, hate that the a3 keeps turning off so quick and hence often needs two key presses to activate
A2 lite + backlight would be nice ;)

Not really because....
I currently have a U1 and have two ways to upgrade:

First, buy the T5 at a low price next to the U1
Watch normal movies with U1 and HDR movies with T5

Second, buy a U22 device at a high price

What I need are:
Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, and superior image quality (if possible)

Well, we need more details about T5 and how it can handle advanced sounds.

U22 seems the best solution for you :
This variant of the S922XJ processor includes official support for Dolby Vision and Dolby audio.

official support for Dolby Vision and Dolby audio
Thanks
And one more question
Minix supports both Dolby and DTS sound types. But why is it said to have only Dolby sound certificate? Does it mean that there is no certificate for DTS?!

Friends, I'm a poet
Of course my language is Persian, but here I wrote a poem in English for you. I hope you like it.

My heart for the Minix
Burned like a phoenix

I've seen a letter: "U"
after that, "Twenty-two"

I became like a lover
My love is in the cover ?

When my heart went away
I heard my heart say:

I flew like a phoenix
I'll be back with a Minix ?
