Just received my new U22, this runs slow. So far I'm Not very impressed. I hoped it's a setting or something. I installed latest the firmware V006a, no change. Running side by side with my $50 android box and its being blown away.

Apps are slow to start up, web sites slow to load up, geez! I'll research for an app to use and get real performance data.

Definitely not normal, my U22 is way snappier than my $250 android TV box (pro 2019!!).

If you don't have anything important on the box then I would suggest:
(Both options will erase all your data so make a backup of anything important if you go this route)
1. Factory reset, if that does not resolve the issue then...
2. A manual flash of FW006a, if that does not resolve the issue then I would request an RMA under warranty.

Uncannily, today I used both my U1 and U22, and I noticed that the U22 was definitely faster. Everything I did was silky smooth.
Maybe you have installed an app that hogs resources?

FYI, Haven't changed anything yet, just wanted to get a baseline first.

I use kodi, smarttube next and a few more apps.

The device is much quicker than my previous minix devices.

Your nickname starts with "kodi..." :) and i can tell you that my experience with kodi and the other apps that i use is great.

Please give us more details:
1-How are you using kodi?
Streaming from local (NAS, etc) or internet?
2-What more apps do you use?
3-Your router is working well?
Did you recently try a router factory reset?
4-Are you using wifi or ethernet?
5-Did you try a minix factory reset ? (if everything you already tried don´t work, note all data will be lost)
etc

Note:
1-If you do not use the internet the device is still very fast to open applications, open settings, etc. (of course if the device is working properly...)
2-i advice you to use only the apps that you need, nothing more and if possible ethernet

I do not run kodi

2-What more apps do you use?

Most run YouTube and browsers.

I am running NordVPN

3-Your router is working well?

Same router used as my mecool and it runs ok

Did you recently try a router factory reset?
No

4-Are you using wifi or ethernet?
Running WiFi, other units WiFi speed 50% faster. The units are sitting next to each other.

5-Did you try a minix factory reset ? (if everything you already tried don´t work, note all data will be lost)
etc

Not yet holding off, trying to uninstall selected apps first.

Update: I get fedup with this and sent it back. Not worth my time anymore. I wish I could get my Neo U1 back up.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with U22-XJ. It responds well, the A3 air mouse remote is good but doesn't always respond as it should. I see a lot of potentials with U22-XJ. Happy with it that I bought 2!
