I recently bought Minix U9-H. the first few days it worked liuke a charm. Then suddenly the power doesn't seem to work!
When I plug in the power cable there is no light! Not even after I press the power button for a while! I took the power adapter that I got with the set to local electrician and they checked it with a meter and confirmed that the adapter is alright! . I really am not understanding what to do ! Can anyone advice me how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Can you please tell me what is "PSU"? Sorry for my ignorance.
PSU = Power Supply Unit ie: Power adapter

The electrician may have checked the voltage output but the current may be failing.
The adapter may have an intermittent fault!

The PSU (power supply unit) is in the power adapter (plug) itself. Unfortunately, there was a number of faulty PSU's unknowingly sent out with U9-H's.

If you have another power adapter that matches the voltage & amperage of the PSU supplied with your U9-H you could test it to see. However, be sure it natches or you could damage components inside the box itself.

If you don't have anything to test, message one of the MINIX staff directly & they should be able to facilitate a replacement for you.

I seem to have suffered in the same way, the PSU has just stopped working. I measure 0v with meter. I’m reading that there may be faulty PSU on some on the NEO U9-H. That is a shame as it is good machine but it is also disappointing as it is an expensive machine.

I’m also concerned that I did not receive any information on the recall of the PSU.

I have contacted support on the email above.

Thanks for the forum.

MINIX had several faulty PSU, which appears to be your issue.

I think it would be extremely difficult for MINIX to issue a so called " Recall " notice! These things are shipped all over the world and the fact that you (we) don't resister your serial number with MINIX, they have no way of knowing where these devices end up. Contacting the supplier where you purchased the device is the first recourse for warranty purposes.

I recently took my vehicle in for a fuel issue, only to find out that a recall had been issued on the faulty component which was under warranty, I received no notice!

I suggest sending @MINIX - John a PM and I'm sure he will assit you in getting a replacement.:)

I've replied to the email you sent our customer support team. I will arrange for a brand new replacement PSU to be shipped to you ASAP.
There is no recall on the PSU, it's not a widespread issue in the context of total sold.
Once you reply to my email and provide contact details, it'll be shipped and you'll receive a replacement within a few days.
Sorry for the trouble caused.

I had similar issues. Turned out to be the region specific clip on plug. Just needed the contacts prised up a bit for contact on psi unit. Just an ?

Before contacting John verify that the plug connector is well inserted in the power adapter.

Good morning people.

The same thing happened to me recently. The power supply stopped working (tested with multimeter).
Where can I get one?
