No power problem

My pc is not turning on. I haven’t booted it in almost 6 months so it just sat disconnected from power and use. Today I plugged it in and tried to turn it on but there are no signs power is going through. The led light does not come on nor the fan. I tried pushing the reset button and holding down the power button. But nothing is working this far.
not sure what to do.

Which device?
J50C-4 Max?

Have you connected the correct power supply (12V 3A)?

If the power supply is faulty you can try powering the device via the USB-C port.
You will need a USB Power Delivery wallwart that can deliver 36W and a corresponding cable.

Odd that it's apparently failed outright while remaining completely disconnected from the mains, or any other previous attempts to boot as well.

I'd also give the CMOS battery a quick check too before shelling out cash on a replacement PSU. If you can borrow a PSU to run a test fair enough but if the device has sat disconnected all this time the CMOS battery could have simply depleted too. (Ordinarily a depleted CMOS battery shouldn't essentially render the device utterly unusable as in this instance but I have experienced devices with a dead CMOS battery behaving in the same way in the past myself.)

Up to you. If it doesn't work you've lost 5 - 10 mins and a few pennies for a watch battery ;). Fingers crossed either way :).

I didn’t realize it had a battery in it. I’ll replace it and report back.

Swapped battery. Now when I plug it in the red Led light briefly blinks but it still will not power on. It is also getting warm just sitting.
