1 - Corred there is no SDK update from the Chip provider (rockchip) anymore, so more then kitkat you will not get other then wasser for example (not a very stable version)
2 - You mean the Minix Launcer ?
3 - Which Kodi version, possible more a kodi issue rather teh an issue with the firmware (is the Kodi version supported at the kitkat release for example)
5 - Have you tried another hdmi cable?


So other the updating the google apps and replacing/adding the minix launcher I could build a new firmware but not sure is it is that usefull as this device is pretty prehistoric .

hi i have the seam problem and i used Windows 7 and i instilled the last firmware kitkat-250-february-8th-2016.23 in my computer but when open the minix to download last firmware from pc it not reading information about this minix ( i do all the seam steps like in the video )can some one help please

It looks like it is not in recovery mode, w hff en you are in recovery mode the screen should be black. Make sure you enable power when the recovery buttons inserted and keep inserted until the device is recognized.

In the first picture I conncte minix in the TV to watch the moves in xbmc but I got the device did not want to open it's stop on this logo

but in the second picture the device does not want to connect to the computer .. the back of the minix i stay a lot of time holding my hand in the RECOVER button and no release
what i have too do now ?i have 2 minix and they are the seam problem !!!!!

Yes just an usb mini or in case of the x7mini an USB to USB cable. Make sure the mini side is a long one.

I did everything but my PC does non detecte la TV Box

I change another PC but also nothing detacted
I use 2 différentes usb and also not work

Disconnect the power on the minix
i Press the RESTORE button on the device and connect with USB cable on my PC
then connect the power on the minix , i wait alote off time to see if the drives connect or not ,but nothing happen.
my PC does not detect the TV-Box i using another PC but the seam problem

Try:

1 - Push an hold the restore button.
2 - connect the power and wait 10 seconds
3 - release the restore button
4 - connect USB

Do you know which few was previously installed?

i did evrything you told me but no detracted
also after this i contacet in the seam time in tv to see if the draive work in mode restore and its work !!!!!!as you see in the photo ,and i go to se if the contact USB work in PC but no contact .
Do you know which few was previously installed?i thank recovery system v4.2.51
