Original remote control

Hi, guys

I open this thread because I was thinking of buying an original remote control for my Neo U1, like this one:
MINIX NEO A2 Lite

My question is: is this one valid? Are they universal? Can a Neo A2 remote control work on my Neo U1?
Thanks in advance.

That is probably the best option to control your U1. Actually in some places you can still find them being sold in a all in one promotional package, probably depending on which country you live in.

I can't confirm its universality with non-Minix devices as there are so many different devices to control in the world. More than a remote (different at least), the A2 Lite is an 'Air Mouse' device, and as a pointer device it does a great job.

- Tested with LG smart TV it allows easy navigation through the smart functions and apps, as a wireless mouse.
- Tested with Windows 7 laptops did as good as any wireless mouse or keyboard.

So, as a pointer device and and as a remote keyboard (you will miss accents should your language require any) it does very well. It comes with a dedicated dongle that you insert in the device to control. The A2 is not a universal remote to control tv or the dedicated functions of these or other kind of sets and I doubt it will do any good adjusting colors, brightness of setting your DVD player to run, as a simple universal TV remote it will likely fail.

IMO the original Measy RC11 is still the best remote for these boxes. I tried them all including the Minix A1, A2, A2 Lite, A3, M1 and don't like any of them. If you get the Measy RC11 and the RCA RCRP05BR learning remote they will control just about anything you throw at them both for a total of under $25. On my RCRP05BR I programmed a macro that will turn on my Minix box, select the TV input and adjust the volume in a single push of a button and once I am in the Minix Android environment I use the Measy RC11 air mouse to get around.
