Pairing Bose Headset

Hello friends.

Here is how i got it solved it. Finally.
As described before, it is a 100% bluetooth range coverage problem. With a weak link, it doesnt detects properly the headphones.
I opened the plastic case, and found the antena cable was almost disconnected from the jack. I wouldnt be surprised that it was even shorted by contact. I cut and peeled the cable, take the minix board out of his case and taped back to the tv.
Unpaired the headsets (wrongly detected as joystick or similar). Paired again and this time properly detected with the multimedia icon. Now it appears in the Output sound options and i can select it when i wish to use the headphones.

I ordered a new jack rp-sma female (i think) and i will replace the original one to get the board back inside the case soon.

Thank you so much all of you for your help, comments and advices. It really helped a lot.

you do (did) have the minix antenna connected i assume...my understanding is that you need to have this connected to enable a good bluetooth connection

Hello, I am having a very similar issue on both of my Minix U1 boxes trying to get my Beats Solo 3 Bluetooth headphones to work. I can pair them ok but I too am getting a joystick icon in the Remote & Accessories sub menu. and cannot select them in the Audio out sub menu. Just like the pictures in the thread above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running the most recent official firmware as of Jan 20, 2019. Thanks.
