pass through? ok I am playing epic stream content through a Neo u1

I have set the hdmi settings in kodi as pass through, i can not for the life of me figure this out my receiver keeps getting pcm as input. To enable audio dsp i need an audio dsp add on. What help? I am sorry I am new to this. help please.
 
I have a similar setup and it seems to work... though I am using XBMC but I suppose there isn't much of a difference in the interface.
I have output the HDMI to my Yamaha receiver and Output of Yamaha receiver to my 4K TV.

In Minix settings Audio > Digital Sounds setting you will need to set output to HDMI

Have you ensured Kodi is correctly configured for raw audio passthrough? (Use the settings in the table below, (9 times out of 10 one of those are incorrect).)

Additionally, make sure sync playback to display is disabled in Kodi's display options as well as this will negate raw audio passthrough.

Lastly, it may depend on your AVR too. For example, on the Sony receivers @pusb87 & I use they must be set to A.F.D. or the audio may have Dolby/DTS upmixing applied which reverts the audio to PCM rather than the raw audio stream. Double check that your AVR doesn't have a similar setting or requirement, (i.e. RTFM ;) ).

I had tried all the prescribed methods I never saw one signal other than PCM I migrated everything to AppleTV 4, including IPTV. Everything is working great. I am getting different options now to decode or play straight. I also now don't have to deal with the Arc issues with my LG C8

Could you draw a simple cabling diagram of how you are connecting your minix U1 > AVR > TV
Everything should work OK
Any ARC issues of LG C8 should not have any influence
ARC is audio return channel of TV back to your AVR so in the case of the minix > AVR > TV should play no part.
