Hello All,
My U22-XJ is connected via HDMI 2.1 to the yamaha 7.1 dolby atmos receiver. I am using Kodi 18.9 leia version. However, when I try to change the passthrough output device under Kodi audio settings, it appears greyed out, and therefore I cannot see the HD audio selections, and they appear as 2.1 channels on my receiver, even though they are having 5.1.2 in the source. Please help.
Below is the screenshot from my Kodi Audio settings.

HD audio on android is a known issue , check the bugtracker threads. We are all waiting for a fix from Minix
If you want HD audio in Kodi then i suggest you use Coreelec. It works just fine.
All the info is in this forum, just spend a few minutes looking around !

Thanks... I tried the Coreelec thing with the reset button push and everything, but somehow the box didn't boot up using Coreelec. Not sure if I did something wrong.

maybe..it should be quite simple to get up and running if you follow the instructions
quite a few pepole have had issues with certain USB thumb drives, I did and changed to an micro SD card and that works fine.

And I had the opposite problem, kept getting an error with an SD card, found a old thumb drive at the back of drawer and that works flawlessly.
