You can't. Pinch zoom is for touch screen devices. :)

The only way I got to get close to a zoom function similar to it in my Minix boxes will depend on which pointing device to use.
With an A2 Light it is a bit tricky, it requires some practice, but it works for the purposes I need it. And the purpose I need it is to navigate maps.

So, let's say you found a city in the map, when you double click over the map pressing the Droid button it will zoom in each time you double click it. To zoom out you will need to double click but leave the second click pressed down and simultaneously slide the arrow up, and as it zooms out release the button.

Easier will be to attach a wheel mouse (you know,. common computer mouse with two buttons and a middle wheel) and as you turn the mouse wheel to one side or the other it will zoom in and out.

This works with Google Chrome and Firefox web browsers. For the U9-H tried with the Chrome preinstalled version and Firefox latest version, however the procedure is good with the last version of Chrome in a U1 box, so it is very likely to work in your own web browser whatever it might be.

Good luck, and please report back!

Hi Summit!
On my U9-H I've disabled updates for Google Chrome and decided to keep Chrome at the Minix factory version, this allows full function of Chrome for copy-paste and full screen videos in full resolution, as these seem to be troublesome issues in updated versions in the U9-H. Anyway I also installed the updated version of Firefox!

And Firefox, as you mention you already have it, is very flexible in using so many extensions for so many functions. Although I don't use any to zoom the websites I took a chance with some zooming extensions and, maybe because I'm clumsy, I couldn't put some to work, or maybe some are not even supposed to work for the Android version. Anyway, I found an interesting working one:

https://addons.mozilla.org/pt-PT/firefox/addon/custom-page-zoom/

Once you add it to Firefox you can go to the context menu (the 3 dots in the upper right) and click over the Custom Page Zoom shortcut. If you add a website in the address bar of the extension and slide the upper slider to the desired zoom level that website will always open with that zoom level. If you just write a "*" (deleting whatever is written in the extension address bar and without the commas, just a simple asterisk) and then slide the upper slider to the desired zoom level, all websites will open with that zoom level. To revert just open the extension from the context Firefox bar and go to the line you wish to delete and click the X.

The windows versions of these web browsers have a zoom slider if I well recall, I'm sure Chrome does in definitions, Android versions are not so (I have the latest Chrome in my U1 and that slider is still not present), maybe because you could eventually pinch them over in the touchscreens.

In Firefox you also have an icon in front of the address bar that will give you the text of each post in the forum in larger letters.

Hope this helps. :)

Many thanks CybeRider, have been using the Google Earth app on Minix boxes most days for years but have been unaware of the double click, hold second click & move pointer up/down to zoom out/in trick, much better than my click home button to zoom out method.
