Playstore pending download issue

Hi guys,

I’ve been experiencing issues with downloading any new apps or updates for the last 4months probably and can not seem to get this sorted. I know this is probably an Android issue, but Ive posted here as I have an u9-h device in the hope that someone could advise me on a resolution?

The issue im experiencing is Download Pending for any updates/new app downloads.

Thus far ive tried cancelling all existing downloads or updates.
Force stop playstore.
Clear playstore cache.
Clear playstore data.

My last resort will probably be a factory reset.

Thanks in advance

-Go to google store and disable automatic app updates (settings)
-if you do that you need to manual update the apps

I always use it like this (manual updates).

Just a tip:
If you do a factory reset (or a upgrade for example) one of the first things to do is:
-change the location in date/time settings, not to have problems in google store (sign in for example) to your location.

A bit late now but I've been having the same issue.

I tried different things like you but also switched connection from Ethernet to WiFi.
I don't know what sorted it but it was fixed for a short while!

Then you posted and I checked again, the issue was back!
This time I checked in Play Store Settings for an update. It reported a new version and would be updated but didn't update even after reboot and being left for a day.

I went here...
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/

...and downloaded and installed the latest version.

Appears to have fixed the issue! :)

It is good to know.
I dont have that problem because i always use manual updates but i guess must be a bug in google store that can be fixed, that and the login bug.

Might be a bug (google sign in) or a protective measure implemented by google , allowing the company to have more security and if it security i have to agree, safety first.

You are never late @Villa

I found out that the U1 I got with me is on version 15ish and a mobile phone with Android 4 4 has the updated version.

Clicking over the U1 PlayStore version it brings up a notification saying it is updated, when obviously it is not.

Maybe I am being paranoid but I am starting to suspect the certified devices are updating while the other devices are not. I will be close to the U9-H later today and will check how it is there.

Maybe we will need you hint much more than you could think.

The PlayStore has correctly automatically updated in the U9-H to 16.0.16. My fears were unfounded, although I will have to find out why for the U1it didn't still update, but for the moment I got it connected to a really bad and slow internet connection at the seaside, so that might be why.

I also have most automatic updates disconnected, but PlayStore should get updated just as anything else, so it is always important to trace if something is not working as intended.

I found this works for me. In Google Play Store, delete cache then data. Open Google Play Store, select Settings, and for Auto-update apps, you'll see Auto-update apps over wifi only. Change that to Don't auto-update apps. Wait a couple of minutes to let the updates appear again, then click Update all and the first app should start downloading.
