Problem recognizing third monitor using usb-c port

I just purchased the J50C-4 which is supposed to support 3 monitors. However, I don't seem to be able to recognize my display using the USB-C port. I have checked that all monitors are supported correctly using either HDMI or the display port connection. Each monitor uses standard 1920x1080 @ 60Hz.

On the USB-c port I have tried 2 different adapters that I know work fine on multiple laptops and even my samsung s10+ phone. The adapters are from anker (https://www.anker.com/products/variant/usb-c-hub,-7in1-usb-c-adapter/A83460A1) and LC-Dolida (https://www.amazon.co.uk/usb-c-hub-dex-station/dp/B07B1SPX26).

Are there any drivers or diagnostic tools to check if the usb-c port is functioning correctly? Or do I need to do something different to configure a third monitor?

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, BCD

Did you reboot the J50C-4 after you connected the monitor to the adapter?

I found that if I connect a HDMI lead to the USB-C adapter I have, I have to reboot the device.

NEO J50C-4's USB-C port doesn't support 'hot plugging'.
You cannot connect the USB-C hub after powering on NEO J50C-4.
You need to power off NEO J50C-4, connect the hub and then power on NEO J50C-4. It should then work.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I did actually try a number of reboots with minutes of offtime between, not just windows restarts. That still didn't work. I then tried every update I could think of, and finally got it working. In my frustration, I just tried updating everything at once and can't tell exactly which update made the difference.

Good side: all my H/W works!
Bad side: I don't think this will help anyone else having a similar problem... sorry.

Thanks again for all your support. This is my second Minix minipc and I really love your products and support.
