Problems with Netflix

I have a Minix Neo U1 running Netflix 4.16.4, build 200217. I also use a VPN with it.
For the past few days, when I try to stream on Netflix, I get the following message:
Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please visit the Netflix website (12001).
I have done everything to troubleshoot this and nothing has worked.
All other devices on my home network are working okay (including a tablet on which Netflix works just fine).

Any suggestions to solve this problem?
Thanks very much,

Try the latest recommnded build confirmed to work with Minix devices, 5.3.1.
Unfortunately 5.3.1 is no longer working, the best working version that I've found currently is 6.26.1.. 1531696. I'm using a A2 lite remote so the scrolling problem isn't an issue.

As @JJ-KwiK mentioned the Kodi version has a slightly higher resolution. I believe you can have them both installed at the same time if you'd like to compare.

Follow this for the Kodi version...

Unfortunately changing to Netflix 6.26.1 build 15 31696 did not solve the problem. It now gives me a message saying that it cannot play the video.

Did you uninstall any previous version before installing 6.26.1?
Try clearing the Cache , then Data in the Netflix App. In settings. You'll have to re-enter your login credentials afterwards.

I have uninstalled everything, cleared the Cache and Data, done everything. Nothing works.
Strange , it's working on my U1. Uninstall it again..... then go into Settings, Device, Storage & Reset, Storage, Cached Data....ok
Then install it again.

If it doesn't work, I'll try uninstalling and installing it on my U1

I have done everything you suggested. Netflix still will not play. Thanks very much for trying to help.

As I said I would do, I'm going to delete it and reinstall to see if I have the same problem...
UPDATE
So I uninstalled 6.26.1 and re-installed it... It installed fine but when I went to play something I got an error!
I went in settings, Apps found Netflix, did a "force stop", cleared Cache...... then rebooted the box... Netflix now works with no errors or issues

I have tried everything. Cleared Cache and Data, Uninstall and Reinstall Netflix App, Force Stop, rebooted the box, rebooted the home network, uninstalled and reinstalled VPN, switched VPN sites. Nothing. It will not play for me.

What happens if you try it without the VPN mate?

It must be something on your end, I've been using this version on almost all my MINIX boxes without issue!

Great suggestion !!...I believe Netflix detects VPN's , myself and few others that I know of have found VPN's cause issue's with Netflix??

This is from an article I read sometime ago!

In theory, any geoblock like Netflix’s should be easy to circumvent by simply employing a virtual private network, a way to pretend your connection is coming from somewhere else than your actual location. Netflix, however, has put one of the most sophisticated VPN detection systems in place to make sure that doesn’t happen

Exactly :).

I use Minx U9-H Kodi 18.5 netflix addon. It worked in the evening, not the next day. There were no updates.
The addon works, but movies cannot be started.
Netflix Returned the follovong error:
"Request failed validation during key exchange
Error details have been written to the Kodi log file ..... "
The message will come up starting with kodi.
I've installed both Kodit and the Netflix addon, but it still doesn't work. What might be the problem

I've heard about this problem in the past.... I believe the issue was with something that Netflix changed but I can't recall what the solution was...sorry.

In the meantime you could try the version I mentioned in the above posts.
