Remote lagging using both the standard and air remote

I am having performance issue with my Neo u9-h box due to what seems to be a lag when using both the remotes. It freezes when moving across the home screen and even the mouse is not opening apps when hitting ok. Not very techy so struggling to see what could be causing this.
I did a reset using the black screen but did nothing. Not sure if something has been clicked on the settings or it needs an update to get it working properly again? Recently got a new Smart TV which im using so maybe this is affecting the remotes?

Batteries?
 
@Granter79 you can try press all task killer an see is it helps.I'm not sure do you use airmouse but if you do buy rechargeable batteries 1000mah and up.Minimum 15 days until next charge.
 
When did this happen when you bought a new Smart Tv or earlier with old Tv?Do you use airmouse or stock Minix infrared remote?
 
@Granter79 so neither airmouse,infrared remote and mouse not working right and you did factory reset and still remotes not working properly.Only mouse should be working good.I don't think it's a firmware problem.
